Born and raised in Spartanburg, Dr. Patrick takes great pride in his local roots!
Today, Dr. Patrick is known for his compassionate approach and meticulous attention to detail.
His journey began at Spartanburg High School, and continued on at Furman University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience.
Dr. Patrick then pursued his passion for dentistry at the Medical University of South Carolina. Driven by a desire to serve, Dr. Patrick joined the Air Force after dental school and completed his first residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Langley Air Force Base.
His military service then took him to Germany, where he provided dental care at Ramstein Air Force Base for four years, fostering his commitment to excellence and patient care. He continues to serve as an officer in the United States Air Force Reserves to this day!
Following his love for orthodontics, Dr. Patrick decided to specialize further and completed his orthodontic residency at UNC Chapel Hill, where he honed his skills and expertise in creating beautiful, healthy smiles.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Patrick has earned over 50 different honors and achievements, including:
- Certificate in Dentofacial Deformities and Graduate of Surgical Training Course at UNC (2024)
- Promoted to the rank of Major in the United States Air Force Reserves (2023)
- Passed American Board of Orthodontics Written Examination (2023)
- Principal Investigator of Masters in Orthodontics Research Project and Publication Submission (2021 - Present)
- Graduate of “The Aligner Intensive Fellowship” by Invisalign (2022)
- Southern Association of Orthodontists Research Grant Recipient (2022)
- Graduate Teaching Assistant in Undergraduate Dental Courses at the University of North Carolina (2021 - 2024)
- Officer in Charge for Dental Readiness Program at 916 th AMDS Squadron, Seymour Johnson AFB (2021 - Present)
- Awarded the Brooks Fellowship in Orthodontics from the residency class of 2024
- Enrolled in Air Command Staff College professional military education training (2023 - Present)
When he’s not at work…
Off-duty and out of the clinic, Dr. Patrick cherishes precious moments with his wife, Emily, and their two children, Vee and Ava.
An avid traveler, history buff, and voracious reader, Dr. Patrick also finds joy in athletic pursuits, especially soccer, and indulges his strategic mind as a chess enthusiast!
