Can I whiten my teeth with Invisalign or SPARK clear aligners

Yes, you can whiten your teeth while wearing Invisalign or Spark aligners! This is actually one of the major benefits of clear aligner treatment.

Clear aligners like Invisalign and Spark are removable, so you can temporarily take them out to undergo a whitening treatment, then place them back in and continue transforming your smile.

Our team of highly experienced orthodontists can offer their recommendations on a professional whitening (bleaching) treatment for patients during their clear aligner transformation or patients who have completed their braces treatment.

You have options when it comes to whitening your teeth with Invisalign at Nth Degree Orthodontics!

Can you put whitening (bleaching) gel in Invisalign or Spark aligners?

This is not usually recommended. Placing whitening gel in your clear aligners can damage or discolor your aligners. If you choose to whiten your teeth, you’ll receive your own custom-made whitening trays! Whitening trays have a very similar appearance to aligner trays, but they’re made to endure the whitening treatment.

Where can I get my teeth whitened?

From the comfort of your own home with help from our Nth Degree Ortho Team! Any one of our four expert orthodontists can recommend a professional teeth whitening kit for at-home treatment.

Here’s how it works:
Professional teeth whitening products use a specially-designed hydrogen peroxide bleaching gel and come with unique-fit whitening trays to give you maximum coverage.

Depending on the option your orthodontist recommends for you, you may be required to wear the trays from 15 minutes up to 30 minutes once a day for 10 days.

At-home teeth whitening with Invisalign or Spark aligners
With the at-home whitening kit, you’ll use a syringe from the kit and apply a drop of bleaching solution in your custom-made trays — your whitening trays, not your Invisalign or Spark trays!

Place your trays in your mouth and be sure to wipe away any gel from your gum line. You can use a Q-tip to trace your gum line and remove any overflowing gel.

Once your treatment is complete, remove your whitening trays and thoroughly rinse your mouth with lukewarm water. Brush your teeth as you normally would, rinse your trays out, take a look in the mirror, and try not to blind yourself with your sparkling teeth!
